Last year we were asked to create a new colour palette and to add new furniture and fittings to this character-filled, Sydney home interior.
We designed the concept of the interior around the rich colour of the existing Turkish rug, making it the focal point of the room.
We highlighted the architectural details, the cornices, picture rails and timber architraves, we used a natural colour palette for toning down the existing wall colour. This lighter colour palette creates a greater sense of space.
We customised the sofa and armchair and upholstered them with a linen woven fabric in grey, blue and off-white.
The pendant light shades are customised for each area with beautiful linen fabrics.
To increase the versatility of the guest room interior, we added a sofa bed which could be unfolded when necessary for guests, and folded back to a sofa.
On completion, the overall interior has a calm, and uplifting feel as you walk throughout the home.
Below is a selection of before and after shots.

The hallway was a dark space that needed a welcome lift!
Now the hallway is fresh and inviting!
The lounge room.
Within the lounge room, we added new furniture amongst the existing, hereby creating a lovely space to relax.

The guest bedroom.
The door to the guest bedroom can be left open as it will always look fabulously neat and tidy. The sofa can be transformed into a bed for extra guests to stay. The beautiful details of a silk and wool rug, which just finishes the room.
